Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is this really going to transform my lessons?
For a long time I believed that outstanding teachers were born, not made. I believed their ability to instil awe
and wonder in their students, their charisma and personality traits were down to genes and reserved for a
select few. I now know, having improved my own skills dramatically and having trained thousands of other teachers
to do the same, that anyone can learn to be truly inspirational in the classroom. Excellent teaching is a
learned set of skills. Outstanding lessons are planned.
Successful lessons share certain features and characteristics and by applying them to your teaching you
can and will transform your lessons. The Needs-focused Lessons resource will show you how.
2. Do I really need to continue for the whole three months?
The short answer is "no, of course not, you may cancel any time you want". You pay for membership on a monthly
basis and each month's materials are effectively a complete resource as they include information from each of the
nine sections. It is completely up to you how long you stay subscribed but, obviously, the longer you remain
as a member the more materials you will receive. You can cancel any time by following the instructions in our help
desk at www.behaviourneeds.co.uk/helpdesk/ or through
your Paypal account directly.
3. What happens if I cancel?
Subscribing to the service means your credit card/paypal account will
automatically be billed each month. If you cancel your card wil no longer be charged the monthly recurring fee and
you will continue to receive materials until the end of your current month. i.e. If you cancel in week 5
(after paying your second subscription fee) you will still receive materials for weeks 6, 7 & 8.
You may cancel any time and payments will be stopped - cancelling within
the first seven days will stop any monthly payments being taken. Please note we do not give refunds on this product
- we feel the $1 seven day trial is adequate time to judge the suitability of the materials and to decide if you
want to continue.
4. Is this for "new" or "experienced" teachers?
Needs-focused lessons™ is perfect for teachers of all experience and skill
levels.
5. Is it applicable to any lesson subject?
Absolutely! The worst thing a teacher can do is fall into the 'ready-made-lesson'
trap. Worksheets and ready made plans are OK but it's far better to have a range of formats, structures,
models, templates and activities which can be applied to ANY topic. That way, you are able to add your own
personality to the content being taught.
6. Does my membership include personal coaching?
Unfortunately, the answer is "no". While I will always be available to handle support requests
(I.E. I can't download this week's lesson) I simply don't have the time to personally coach 700 members. Even if
every member just asked ONE question (even a simple question) it would be impossible to handle all of the requests.
If you require further assistance with classroom management or other issues you may be interested in our e-coaching
service. Full details are available on request by submiting a support ticket at www.behaviourneeds.co.uk/helpdesk/
7. On what day of the week will I receive my weekly emails?
There isn't a set "day" of the week when editions will arrive to your inbox. The
autoresponder is setup to send out your email approximately every 7 days (sometimes there is a 24-48 hour
difference in delivery, but you'll always receive a package each week).
If you have any other questions that might be benefical to visitors of the site (and yourself, of
course!) please email me through our help desk: www.behaviourneeds.co.uk/helpdesk/
